The first idea of a name for this handmade gourd lamp was 'Life on Mars' to be honest to you. I wanted to use something non-Earth because of the strange plant on the gourd lamp. However I constantly watch NASA's Curiosity rover and so far haven't seen much of an excitement. For me Mars didn't reflect the elegant look of this work and I wanted to associate this lamp with something nice and attractive. That's where Venus came into equation.
Life on Venus is an outcome of drilling, acyrylic and varnishing processes. She is strange, weird and unusual. If you are looking for something different and eye catching, you may consider Life on Venus.
