The reason I named this design The Madeleine is because every time I sit by the lamp staring at the circular formations on the front section, the lamp simply carries me away reminding me of things and memories that I wouldn't normally think about during the course of my daily routine.
The Madeleine is a combination of fine drilling work as well as bi-color beading craft on a large gourd. I placed Buddhist geometry on both sides of the gourd that creates nice reflections on the wall while connecting the two sides of the lamp. The back side which can be used as a front side depending on your mood has charming blue beads which creates a feeling of the universe and compliment the infinite hole-like design on the other side.
In addition to its characteristics as a handmade lamp, I believe The Madeleine makes a perfect gift idea for many occasions. She is a unique creation which combines many attractive qualities and a hard to find object which has the powers to impress almost anyone. Once given as a present, I firmly believe that this lamp will become a natural part of the owner's life reminding of the person who gave the lamp as a present almost every evening.
